Everest /

To accompany the Everest North climbing expedition I have put together 3 options to take enable trekkers to take part in to different levels on the mountain; BaseCamp (5100m), Advanced BaseCamp (6400m) and the North Col (7100m).

The group meets in Kathmandu on the 8th April. You will be accompanying a climbing expedition all the way to Base Camp on the north side and can decide on 3 options. Either stop at Everest North Base Camp, 5100m. Continue to Advanced Base Camp, 6400m. Finally climb to Camp 1 (North Col) at 7100m.
If you are feeling strong there is a 4th option to continue to the summit, 8848m

At all times there will be a guide with you.

===================================

Option 1

After we have our Chinese permits we fly to Lhasa and spend some time touring the famous sites such as the Potala Palace. We spend a couple of nights here getting used to the altitude and also touring the old city and markets. Lhasa is at 3800m. Our next stop is the pleasant town of Shigatse and we overnight there. Acclimatisation is key and then we drive to Xegar, 4100m. Again a stop to acclimatise. We then drive over a high pass at 5000m as we make our way to Everest Base Camp at 5100m. If time allows we can hike the local area such as the ice river and acclimatising. Those going to Advanced Base Camp and North Col at 6400m will head overnight to Intermediate Yak camp at 6000m then onwards.
Drive back through the Himalaya mountain range to Kerung and Kathmandu. Other treks can be done near the Langtang area.
$ 5000 per person

Stay at ABC then descend.
Drive back through the Himalaya to Kerung and Kathmandu.

After a period of acclimatisation we will head up from Everest North Base Camp to overnight at Intermediate Yak camp at 6000m. The next day we continue to Advanced Base Camp on the North side of Everest, 6400m right underneath Everest.
A few days practising ropework and ascending on the glacier before we attempt the easy climb to Camp 1 on Everest North Ridge otherwise known as the North Col, 7100m.
From here we can see the higher camps and the entire route to the summit. Lunch and then descend to ABC and the next day to BC.
